Midweek Confessions
Oh how I have missed my confession sessions! Well I am back and joining up with E, Myself & I for her weekly round up.
So here goes ...
~ Baby brain is real! (I actually typed pregnancy brain first ... oh geez) I often find myself struggling to find words or remember what is going on in a conversation. I was trying to help my brother with his resume and he kept asking me to give him different words for simple ones. After saying "Umm" a bunch of times he started just using a thesaurus.
~ In an average week I typically shower 4 times. I am sure that you are thinking "And ... that is normal" but I am not one of those women who can throw my hair in a pony tail and look decent. When I don't shower I look crappy. Bags under my eyes, crazy fly aways of hair, and no makeup on. It really isn't pretty!
~ Little Man has been talking about and asking one hundred questions about Santa. It is driving me crazy. He has written him a letter and has even prayed to God so that he can get exactly what he wants for Christmas! Little Man wants a XBox 360, a flat screen tv, and Black Ops 2 the video game.
~ Little Miss has decided to nap for 30 minutes at a time! The problem is that now I can't get anything done. My house is a mess. The laundry is sitting unfolded in baskets. There is stuff everywhere.
~ I haven't bought any Christmas presents. I think we are going this weekend. If we don't I will be doing all the shopping on my own!
I am sure I have more to confess but my baby brain is not letting me remember! Ha
Have a good Wednesday!

First Full Day of 4th Grade!! {How to Pack Little Man's Lunch}

First Week of School {4th Grade}
I cannot believe that my "baby" is starting 4th grade!
On Friday the class lists were posted on the doors outside of the school. Little Man made it public knowledge that there was one teacher that he really really wanted. So he was super anxious to see who his teacher was.
Needless to say after looking at the class lists Little Man didn't get the teacher he wanted!
But ... almost all of his friends are in his class! So that is a bonus for him.
Little Man doesn't officially start school until Wednesday but he does have a lot of things to get done before then.
Monday ~
Soccer Practice from 8 am to 9:30 am.
We have Welcome Back to School Day! We have to sign Jacob up for the basketball league, sign up for class parties, take the school photo, and purchase assignment notebooks and the yearbook.
Tuesday ~
Soccer Practice from 8 am to 9:30 am.
Find the classic color Crayola markers! {With Jacob being color blind those crazy colors (i.e. - bold, extreme) of Crayola markers just don't work.} Most places are actually out of the classic markers! I hope to not drive around all day looking for them.
Wednesday ~
FIRST {half} DAY OF SCHOOL!
Jacob will officially be a 4th grader!
I keep telling him that this will be his best year yet!!
Thursday & Friday ~
Jacob will be at school all day.
Here is to hoping that we do not have a lot of homework to do!
To be honest ... I am not sure if this is exactly how my week is going to go. On Monday I will officially be 38 weeks pregnant. Jacob was born 18 days early so technically this baby could come at any time. My guess from the beginning of this pregnancy has been that she will be born on August 20th. Dan has always thought she would be born on August 26th.
So if Baby Girl comes this week ... I am pretty sure the schedule will look way different than this.
Let's see what happens!!

A Little Bit of This and a Little Bit of That
* Jacob got his finger slammed in between two doors. There was a lot of blood and his fingernails is all different shades of black and blue. I am sparing you a photograph but let me tell you it is ugly! His finger is super swollen and extremely sensitive. I put a finger splint on it and it seems to be helping a little bit. When I brought him into school this morning we talked to the nurse. We both feel that it is best that he doesn't participate in p.e. or recess today. She also told me to keep an eye on it for infection. Her son got a staph infection when something like that happened and need surgery. Please pray that it doesn't come to that.
* I am taking my big Content Area test on Saturday ... please pray for me to pass!!
* My University Supervisor is coming to observe me tomorrow. I feel like I didn't have enough time to prepare but I am praying that all goes well. Will you pray for me too?
* Our church is discussing biblical truths about our finances. I loved the sermon on Sunday and I got a lot of information. Later this week I will be able to post what was said. They are doing a financial seminar at church on Saturday but I have my big test so I cannot go. The pastor said that he will be discussing financial business again next Sunday so I am sure I will have another post for you.
Have you noticed I have been posting more lately?? I am trying I really am.

Blizzard 2011
I guess people had a right to be Running Scared because we were definitely hit with a lot of snow.
Yes those are cars under the snow!
Dan woke up early so that he could attempt to make it into work. Yeah right!
By 9:30 this morning he had the driveway and sidewalk completely cleared.
Our neighbor didn’t even attempt to clear the driveway!
I am pretty sure we were the envy of the neighborhood.
About an hour later the snow plow came through and cleared the street … as best as he could.
So we decided to take a walk and check out the rest of the subdivision.
Snow was everywhere but Jacob was convinced this was the best day of his life.
Before we even left the yard he was already climbing in the snow.
He was having a blast until he saw the snow hill in the cul-de-sac. He just started running. By the time I caught up with him … this is what I saw …
Dan thought it looked like fun so he joined in too!
We continued on our journey around the block. I stayed in the street but Jacob decided to walk the snow instead. But he fell …
He loved every second of it!
Seriously … loved it!!
We almost got back to the house when Jacob realized he could touch the street signs.
And when we got back to the house Jacob decided street sledding was a great idea.
It did look like fun but then he tuckered himself out.
Doesn’t he look so sweet?? Peaceful even. And if you knew Jacob peaceful is not something he does often.
We talked to the neighbors, the snow plow driver, and the back hoe driver.
We kept the fire roaring all day long.
Princess Fiona loves the fireplace and won’t leave while it is going.
We drank mugs and mugs of tea and hot chocolate (with marshmallows of course).
Finally we settled down with our plates of Pepper Steak (YUM! I will have to share the recipe) and watched American Idol.
We are loving this season! Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, and Randy Jackson are hilarious together.
So that is how we spent the day during the Blizzard of 2011.
School is cancelled for Jacob and I again tomorrow. Poor Dan has to go to work. I think I am going to make English muffin bread and Lemon Chicken Pasta with asparagus.
I also want to create a Valentine’s Day craft with Jacob. Maybe we will hit the craft store tomorrow.
I love snow days!
