Hello Monday! {Anthropologie Style}

To be completely honest ... we have a fantastic week ahead of ourselves.

For the most part, Jacob's after school activities are brief. An hour at basketball practice and an hour at indoor soccer training. Then for the rest of the week we are just hanging out, eating food, and enjoying one another.

I still need to catch up on Downton Abbey since I missed last nights episode

But

We had a good reason.

Dan's parents were in town for a wedding and they stayed with us for the weekend.

Even better ...

they are staying with us this weekend as well.

The only real bummer is that our boys will be with their other parents this weekend but it will give Maysie plenty of time to soak in her grandparents love.

Silly me ... but I forgot to take a single picture. I will have to do better and do it this coming weekend.

Now  onto my hellos ...

To be honest ... I didn't know about Anthropologie before I started blogging.

As soon as I heard about this store I knew I had to go.

My sweet husband bought me my new kitchen timer and a gift card for Christmas.

I couldn't wait to use it.

So this is what I bought!

Hello my beautiful blue timer. I love using it to set a reminder when my tea is ready.

Hello little blue bird sugar bowl! It is so much fun to use this sugar bowl when I make my morning coffee. It always makes me smile.

Hello beautiful milk bottle measuring cups! The best part was that they were only $9.92 shipped!

Hello pretty colors! This is seriously making me want to measuring things. But I am not baking today!

Hello "m" mug! I haven't stopped using it since I bought it. After I drink my tea or coffee I just rinse it and leave it on the counter because I know I will be using it again later.

The best part about all of this was that all 4 pieces were bought for $40. That is $10 an item.

I really scored big!

Hello Monday!!

How is your Monday going so far?

Hello Monday

Hello Monday! You really aren't off to that great of a start ... power outage on a gorgeous day ... financial stress ... but here's to making this Monday better!

Hello Enchiladas!! This has been my favorite recipe so far from the book Bread & Wine by Shauna Neiquist. The whole family loves it!

Hello laundry! I have washed it, dried it, and now folded it. Hopefully at some point I can put it away today!

Hello my little mess maker! She loves all things messy and dirt is at the top of her list. Hopefully we can keep the house relatively clean today!

Hello crazy bed head! I swear she looks like Cindy Lou Who from The Grinch Stole Christmas. The curlyque on top just makes me giggle!

Hello little girl who wants to be in on all the soccer action! It is nearly impossible to keep her off the soccer field while Little Man is playing. She just wants to be with him!

Hello my little soccer stud! It was a cold and rainy game but you did awesome! I love watching him play!

Hello six pack! He didn't want his picture taken but I just couldn't help it. He is as cute as can be!

Happy Monday!

Hello Monday {Little Miss Photo Shoot}

Hello Monday!

I am not a photographer but I thought it would be fun to take Little Miss out and take her picture. She will be 1 years old on August 30th.

Hello bright pink tutu's and black sneakers.

Hello gravel. It is fun to play with, pick up, and put in our mouths.

Hello Little Miss it has been wonderful watching you grow this past year.

Hello wooden bridge {leading no where}. It is fun to run back and forth.

Hello small miracles. She sat still for all of .5 seconds.

Hello sleeping princess. I had fun taking your pictures today.

Hello Monday {Our Weekend}

Hello Monday! I can't believe you came so quickly. The weekend seemed to fly by but I tried to soak in some quality time with my family. So this is what we did on our boring at home weekend. {Seriously, it was the best lazy weekend I have had in the longest time. I am really sad to see it go!}

Hello knitted ballet slippers. They were a pretty pink but now they are pink on the top and black on the bottom. {She was having too much fun chasing her brothers on the blacktopped road.}

Hello sparkly tiara. Trying on tiaras was a blast. Little Miss loved wearing it around the store and she cried when I took it off. She really is a princess on the inside. {Wink Wink Prince George Alexander Lewis of Cambridge. Ok maybe I am getting a little crazy about them marrying. Maybe}

Hello colorful messes. Little Miss loves my scrap felt pile. I used to keep it really neat in that little basket but now that she dumps it out 1,467,999 times a day. I just throw it back in the basket.

Hello Prince Harry (the doggie). My family might just be a little crazy about the British monarchy. But since my Grandma is from Wales it is hard not to be. Little Miss is now starting to get a little less scared of the dogs. Well that is until they bark or whine then she screams her pretty little head off.

Hello Princess Fiona ... I know I know. It is what it is. This is the first time that she has intentionally touched the cat. Most of the time she screams and screams when the cat just looks in her direction.

Hello french market finds. This cheese/jelly/butter spreaders were so cute. They said things like spread love, butter me up, and let them eat cake. The forks said I do and the other one said me too. Super cute! Love Love Love.

Hello pretty bottles! What is it about a self sealing bottle in a wooden crate that makes me swoon over them. I don't know but I love the look of this. What would I even put in those bottles?

Hello champagne currants. I have honestly never eaten a currant but these looked too yummy. And honestly who doesn't like champagne?

Hello chalkboard taggies, napkin rings, and tiny clothes pins. It is the organizational possibilities that really draws me to these things.

Hello homemade donuts! I should have eaten one just to report on how good they were but since I am still trying to lose the last few pounds of baby weight I didn't eat one. {Or it could have been because my Mom was with me and she judges my eating with her eyes. As in ... really you are going to eat that. She would say I should eat half and save the rest for later. Honestly, I don't play that game. If she wasn't there it would have been game on!}

Hello baby hugs. Little Miss has just started hugging her babies. I love how sweet the whole moment is. This doll in particular is her favorite.

Hello midday naps. I love that my husband took this picture of us. We both needed the rest and she is so super cuddly.

Hello Little Man. He rarely makes an appearance on the blog anymore because he is really cool and has friends to play with all day. So I made him take a "selfie" with me. I can't believe he is going into 5th grade in just a few weeks.

Hello cousins/friends. These two are 3 months apart. Little Miss didn't like sharing her toys. "A" didn't seem to mind that she stole whatever he had in his hand. I think they are best friends already.

Hello teeny weeny bikini. This was bought for Little Miss before she was born by my sweet cousin who has officially declared herself the swimsuit gifter. I love the belly that hangs out!

Hello time. You really are flying by. In less than one month Little Miss will be 1 years old. I can't believe how quickly she is growing.

Hello Monday! {Lake Geneva, WI}

Hello Monday! Wow ... has it been a long time since I did one of these! Geez. You would think that I haven't done anything fun this whole summer or stopped to look at the beauty around me. In fact, we have done plenty of fun things and I have stopped to look around at the beauty God surrounds me with every day.

We took a mail boat tour in Lake Geneva, WI a few weeks back. We enjoyed the tour (even though the boys thought it was about 45 minutes too long).
Little Man loved being right next to the window.
Little Miss loved her new sling but only napped for about 30 minutes.
I felt inspired by the beauty of the homes we visited and loved the very patriotic decks that many residents had.
I loved spending time with me and the kids. The all did so well.
We even were lucky enough to spend time at the beach. Little Miss loved the sand and water. Well mostly the sand because we couldn't stop her from eating it most of the time.
My Little Bonus (stepson) thought it was hilarious to balance his head on the mound of sand. I guess this is what you get when you make kids stay on a boat for 2 1/2 hours discussing the history of Lake Geneva.
Little Miss loved receiving tons of attention from her brothers. I guess carrying her in the sand/water is better than carrying her around in the living room.
Little Man is getting more handsome by the minute. I love spending time with him.
So hello Monday! I love the fresh start to my week.

Hello Monday {The Honest Company}

I am once again linking up with Lisa Leonard and her joining her by saying Hello to Monday!
If you want to join in go visit her.

Hello Monday!

Little Miss is notorious for exploding through her diapers and onto her back!
It drives me crazy because I am constantly trying to get the stains out of her clothes.
So I decided to try The Honest Company diapers to see if they would do the trick.
Although these diapers are about $20 over my monthly budget for diapers and wipes I ordered the trial and paid the $5.95 for shipping.

It came in this super cute box ... adorned in my favorite color!!

The trial came with 6 diapers, a container of wipes, and a sample size portion of several household cleaners.

You get a sample of healing balm {great for diaper rash}, hand soap, face and body lotion, laundry detergent, and face and body wash! The products that do have a scent smell soo soo good!

But sadly enough, Little Miss still exploded through the diaper. Aagh!
So I called the customer care department at The Honest Company.
I told the sweet woman who answered the phone about our predicament.
She asked me a few questions and we discovered the Little Miss was wearing a diaper that could possibly be too small.

So ... they sent me 12 diapers {in a larger size} and a full size bottle of stain remover to try.

Low and behold ... the bigger size did the trick!!

This is my favorite print from The Honest Company for girls!

So ... here's to Monday! I love that these diapers contain no chemicals, are stylish, and keep all the poop where it belongs!

I love The Honest Company!

If you want to try them out for yourself ... go here.

Happy Monday!
