Happy Monday & A 24 Week Update

I am only giving myself 15 minutes to get this post up before I have to declare war on my kitchen. Seriously it is horrendous. Plates, bowls, silverware, and cups are everywhere!

Obviously, that is a sign of a great weekend ... although very unproductive.

I can't believe I posted every day two weeks ago and then last week nothing! It was a tough week!

The Friday before Mother's Day/Graduation Day ... I got laid off from work.

To be honest I am devastated.

I thought I would finally be able to start saving money before this baby is born.

I thought that unemployment would give me more money than they actually are!

I thought that financially things were going to get better for us.

I am overwhelmed and over emotional right now.

I am hoping that I will find a way to make money from home and be able to spend time with the baby when she gets here.

I am not really sure how we are going to make things work now!

24 Week Update

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 24 Weeks
Size of baby:
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 8 pounds ... I think! I don't weigh myself until my doctor's appointments.
Maternity Clothes: I am trying to wear mostly non-maternity clothes but this baby is so low that my pants are barely buttoning. I am wearing mostly dresses and skirts. The yellow shirt I am wearing in the picture is maternity and I love it.
Gender: It is a girl!
Movement: This past week the baby has been moving a little bit but I feel like it has been less than the week prior. Maybe this is from the stress of getting laid off from work.
Sleep: I am not sleeping good at all! I start waking up at 5:30 and then continue to wake up every 30 minutes after that. I would really love a good night sleep.
What I miss: I am not really missing anything.
Cravings: Rice, strawberries, and freeze pops.
Symptoms: The heartburn has pretty much gone away as long as I am eating small meals throughout the day. I am very tired but once I get moving I  am better.
Best Moment this week: Jacob trying to convince me that he should be the first one to kiss the baby ... before even Dan and I kiss her. He cannot wait to be a big brother. I love how excited he is.

  1. Try not to stress it's not good for you or the baby. I know it's hard believe me but everything will work out just fine. Take care of yourself. I wish I had some get rich quick scheme to do from home to share with you but I'm still trying to find the gig as well. Good luck and stay positive.

Have a thought? Please share! I love hearing from you!!
