Midweek Confessions (& an announcement)

Time once again for ... Midweek Confessions ... brought to you by E, Myself, & I.

(Not really sure why I am dying laughing over that sentence ... it is probably the voice I am using in my head ... probably only funny to me!)

Sorry.

My first confession is that I am sad my wedding is over! I have been planning my wedding in my head since I was a little girl still playing with my barbies. To be honest I wouldn't have done anything different but I still cannot believe that "my" day is over. I am not sure if anyone used to be an avid Friends show watcher but this feeling just reminds me of how Monica felt after her wedding. She felt like she had nothing to look forward to anymore.

Also, I might be a touch sensative about the whole wedding thing being over but my father-in-law keeps calling me the old married lady. I don't like it when he says it and I would truly appreciate it when he stops. (I am really hoping he doesn't read this ... I am pretty sure he doesn't) Married lady would be fine but why does he have to add old in there.

I have declared this summer the Summer of Mindy. I know it has a very catchy ring to it! I got married in April, graduate in May, and then my 31st birthday is in June. Yup, Summer of Mindy it is! I don't think that anyone else is referring to it as such though.

Lastly, my announcement/confession! It really is both. Ready?

I am pregnant!!!

Dan and I are expecting a baby girl in September!

If you are trying to calculate the weeks ... I am 22 weeks pregnant!

Need proof??

This photo was taken on our Honeymoon.
Crazy right?!?!

We have been keeping this a secret since January so that the focus was on the wedding! But we can no longer keep it a secret.

Now that the information is out ... prepare to see a lot more baby/belly posts.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

  2. Wow congrats!!

I'm visiting for the first time from emyselfandi.

I know how you feel about the wedding, except I would do a whole bunch of stuff different. I've been married almost 9 years and unfortunately pinterest wasn't around yet.

    Good luck with your pregnancy!!

  3. Forget the wedding, you have HUGE changes coming. Enjoy every moment. Congratulations. I've been married over 10 years now and don't even remember my wedding anymore. WOW - how sad.

  4. Congrats on the baby! As for the wedding, it is completely normal to be blue after your wedding. There is so much build up that it takes a while to adjust to the planning and excitement to no longer be in your life. Lucky for you, you have a new little one to start planning for! Yahoo!
