The Light at the End of the Tunnel

Yesterday was a super hard, over emotional, uber sensitive rotten type of day but by Friday I should be able to forget this and dive right into the holiday spirit.

So here is what happened …

Tuesday night I had a Final Paper to finish for my African Diaspora in Latin America class … yup you read that right … that had to be turned in before 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

I was writing and writing and writing and by 3:45 a.m. I realized I was not going to finish and that Jacob still had to be at school by 9 a.m.

so…

I went to bed!

I got up at 7:30 so get ready and then get Jacob ready for school. After I dropped him off I started working on my paper some more.

Finally my 17 page paper was done at 11:30.

One problem … I still have to study for my Astronomy final!

So I went through the 8 page study guide working out each question and I felt pretty good about it.

I went to school early to drop off my paper and talk with my professor (FYI – I still have a paper to redo and then overnight ship to her by Monday). By the time I was done dropping off my paper I went to study for astronomy a little bit more before the final.

At around 3 no one was in the classroom. I thought maybe it was scheduled for a different classroom. I jumped on a computer and saw that ….

MY FINAL ISN’T TODAY!

Yup I was at school waiting for no reason.

So my final is actually today.

I will be finishing up my work today hopefully. I still have a lot to do.

So that is what I will be working on today. Wish me Luck!

Just kidding … back to the snow fight!

They wanted to sled on the flat front lawn! They just sat there instead.

But don’t they look so cute!

Here comes Christian!

Frosty the angry snow man and his little elves!

That is how we spent our first snowfall of the year!

Have you had snow?

It’s Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas and I still haven’t gotten my Christmas cards

or any presents!

Ugh!

I cannot believe how close Christmas is and how little I have done in order to be ready for it. One of my favorite things about Christmas is that I can get personal gifts for my family and friends. You get to show them how much they mean to you and how grateful you are to have them in your life.

One way I like to show people I care is by picking out a beautiful Christmas card with pictures of my family.

Shutterfly has an amazing selection of Christmas cards at amazing prices.

I like these …

If I don’t get my Christmas cards out in time it may be Happy New Year cards instead and of course Shutterfly has those for me in case I need them.

If you are anything like me (Type A and a little neurotic) having a family calendar is a must! Shutterfly has an easy way to incorporate your favorite photos and important dates.

There are multiple designs to choose from making this a wonderful gift for all the Type A personalities like myself. Even Grandma’s and Great-Grandma’s love personalized gifts with their grandchildren’s photos.

You can select wall calendars, desktop calendars, or year at a glance calendars. Click here and check them out.

This Christmas shopping may be easier than I thought!

If the calendars are tickling your fancy check out the photo books. They are easy to create (because they will create it for you using your photos) and are super cute gifts for everyone in the family.

Jacob loves looking at pictures of himself and I know he would love getting a book of all his baby pictures! Actually that is probably more of a gift for me but as a family we could all enjoy it.

Seriously, could these get any cuter?!?!
